L'artista

Nata a Udine, dopo la Maturità classica e il Diploma in violoncello ha scoperto
la sua passione per il mosaico, ottenendo la qualifica di Maestra mosaicista
presso la Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli nel 1995. Nell’estate 1994 ha lavorato
presso MosaiqueSurface a Montréal, Canada e a Monaco di Baviera dal ’95 al
’96 alla Mayer’. Tornata in Italia è stata per sei anni insegnante di mosaico
presso la SMF, con cui collabora tuttora per i corsi brevi. Attualmente alterna
l’attività di mosaicista all’insegnamento nel suo laboratorio, ma anche in
scuole statali e private, centri per disabili, carceri. Ha dato vita a vari progetti
musivi in Palestina (Bethlehem International Centre), Olanda (Savantis),
California (California College of the Arts, Oakland), Chicago, Sud Africa (Spier
Academy), Kenya (Nairobi), Francia (Grasse). Ha partecipato al Meeting SAMA
a Miami nel 2008..
E’ presente nel libro “MOSAIC” di Sonia King, Sterling ed., una sua intervista
nella rivista Vanity Fair (aprile 2008).
Ha partecipato a numerosi esposizioni personali e collettive.


Carolina was born in Udine (Friuli-Venezia-Giulia). After completing high school and the Conservatory of Music, where she studied the cello, she discovered her passion for mosaic and gained her diploma as 'Maestra Mosaicista' at the prestigious 'Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli' in 1995. In the summer  of 1994 she worked at the 'MosaiqueSurface' in Montreal, Canada, and from 1995 to 1996 at the 'Mayer' in Munich, Germany. Back in Italy, she  worked as a Mosaic teacher for six years at the Mosaic School of Spilimbergo, where she still gives short workshops. Currently, she is working as a mosaic artist but also continues teaching, not only in her own studio, but also in private and public schools, centres for disabled people and in prisons. Through the years, she has also participated in mosaic projects in Palestine (Bethlehem International Centre), Holland (Savantis, Utrecht), California (California College of the Arts, Oakland), Chicago, South Africa (Spier Art Academy, Cape Town), Kenya (Nairobi) and France (Grasse). She was also invited to the SAMA Meeting in Miami in 2008. Images of her work  can be found in Sonia King’s book “Mosaic”, Sterling Ed. She was interviewed by Vanity Fair in April 2008. She has taken part in many exhibitions.



Née à Udine, après le BAC sectiòn classique et un diplôme au conservatoire pour le violoncelle, elle a découvert sa passion pour la mosaïque et a obtenu un diplôme de « Maestra mosaicista » auprès de la « Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli » en 1995. Pendant l’été 1994 elle a travaillè après de « Mosaïque Surface » a Montréal, Canada et, de 1995 à 1996, à Munich chez Mayer.
Revenue en Italie, elle a enseigné pendant six ans à la « Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli », auprés de laquelle elle tient encore aujour d’hui des cours de brève durée. Actuallement elle se partage entre son activité de mosaïste et l’enseignement dans son laboratoire mais aussi dans des écoles d’état et privées, des centre pour handicapés, des prisons. Elle a réalisé plusieurs projets en mosaïque en Palestine (Bethlehem), Hollande (Savantis), Californie Calif, à Chicago , ent Afrique du Sud (Spier Academy, Cape Town), au Kènya (Naïrobi), en France (Grasse). Elle a partecipé au Meeting SAMA à Miami en 2008.
Sonia King, auteur de « Mosaic « , Sterling ed., a inséré dans son livre la photo de ses oeuvres et la revue Vanity Fair l’a interviewée en avril 2008. Elle a participé à de nombreuses expositions personnelles et collectives.
